of the assigned task in the given time limit, the students had to come up in
groups and present their understanding to the class.
Lead and be lead
The
importance of delivering the correct instruction and following the
instructions was well executed through this activity. Students had to
lead each other to collect the correct flashcards on skip count that
were spread on the floor. This not only involved showcasing leadership
qualities but also being a good follower.
Passing the sums
A mix of addition and subtraction word problems
was circulated in a bag as the music played in the background. With a
random pause in the music the student who had the bag had to draw a word
problem and read it out loud. Through this activity the students were given an
opportunity to identify the operation needed to solve the given word problem
independently.
