Arrangements in nature

The students set out to explore the arrangement of leaves and to showcase their understanding of the concept of even and odd. The students worked in pairs to collect the leaves, count them and sort them as even or odd.










Literature Week Day 3 and 4

The students were introduced to one of the famous children's book author, Ruskin Bond by Ms.Rinzi. The students were inspired to read books written by Ruskin Bond.

Fourth day of the literature week was celebrated with an interactive Skype session with Ms Raj Rajeshwari who is the author of children’s book. Ms. Raj Rajeshwari narrated an excerpt from her book “Crooked Crow” to the students of Grade 1, 2 and 3.














Expressing undertsanding of the novel 'Stuart little' - Margalo


Students were divided into three groups and were asked to read chapter 8 "Margalo".   After which they were given chart papers to express their understanding of the chapter through drawing and writing. On completion of the assigned task in the given time limit, the students had to come up in groups and present their understanding to the class.















Lead and be lead

The importance of delivering the correct instruction and following the instructions was well executed through this activity. Students had to lead each other to collect the correct flashcards on skip count that were spread on the floor. This not only involved showcasing leadership qualities but also being a good follower.















Passing the sums

A mix of addition and subtraction word problems was circulated in a bag as the music played in the background. With a random pause in the music the student who had the bag had to draw a word problem and read it out loud. Through this activity the students were given an opportunity to identify the operation needed to solve the given word problem independently.
