Research on famous astronomers

The students showed tremendous enthusiasm to know more about the famous astronomers by reading books and by seeing videos on you tube. The students were divided in groups and they did guided research on famous astronomers and scientists who unravel many mysteries in the space.  Few astronomers that the students researched on were – Sally Ride, John Glenn, Rakesh Sharma, Kalpana Chawla, Neil Armstrong, Galileo Galilee , Copernicus, Sir Isaac Newton etc.

Making books on heavenly bodies

The students  made their own books on heavenly bodies. They gathered information through various sources, they organized the information and then they presented all the information in the form of booklet.

Short play and a small song on Solar System by Avani,Esha and Anya

It was really exciting to see students making their own play on solar system. They presented a play, a song and a model of the Planet Earth. The credit goes to Esha, Avani and Anya for their effort by showing their creativity and enthusiasm for the Unit.

Tuning In

The  students  watched  the movie " The Martian". Later they wrote their understanding on the given graphic organizer-  I see , I think, I wonder

Celebrating Navaratri/ Bathukamma at School

The students came to school in their traditional attire and we celebrated Navaratri/Bathukamma.
